Position Summary:
The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in our organization by overseeing critical HR functions, including Workers' Compensation, FMLA, Employee Relations, and Benefits Administration. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive HR guidance, ensuring compliance, and occasionally assisting with payroll and other assigned duties.
Essential Functions And Tasks
- Manage all aspects of Workers' Compensation claims, including reporting, resolution, and compliance with WC regulations and company policies.
- Oversee FMLA administration, including eligibility determinations, leave tracking, and communication with employees. Maintain accurate FMLA records and documentation, ensuring compliance with FMLA regulations and guidelines.
- Lead efforts to resolve employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances. Conduct investigations as needed and recommend appropriate actions.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries. Collaborate with benefit providers and employees to address benefit-related matters, ensuring compliance with benefit plan regulations and reporting.
- Participate in the recruitment process, coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding for seamless transitions into the company, and assist in the development and implementation of initiatives.
- Provide accurate and timely HR advice and counsel to employees and managers across the organization. Stay current with HR practices and industry trends.
- Assist in payroll processing and related tasks.
- Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and records
- High School Diploma or GED preferred 2 years previous payroll experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe platforms.
- Strong understanding of Workers' Compensation regulations and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of FMLA laws and requirements.
- Proficiency in employee relations best practices.
- Familiarity with benefit plan administration, including payroll.
- Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems.
