The Facilities Lead supports our mission and values by ensuring completion of facilities maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance to assigned buildings and vehicles on the Three Pillars Campus. Provide daily leadership for assigned team members, continually developing yourself and your team as facilities maintenance professionals. Hold yourself and your team accountable for the successful completion of assigned projects. Follow state regulations. Assist in the purchase of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance.
What will I do as a Facilities Lead?
- Ensure completion of facilities repairs and preventative maintenance to all assigned buildings on the Three Pillars Campus.
- Identify facility concerns and report to Director of Environmental Services (DES)
- Evaluate and make recommendations for facility enhancements.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment/tools needed for facility maintenance.
- Supervise contractors working for the Facilities Department on the Three Pillars Campus.
- Supervise volunteers working for the Facilities Department on the Three Pillars Campus.
- Document all work performed, including costs and other necessary information.
- Provide assistance to DES as needed in developing the Facilities and Grounds Department (FGD) budget.
- Maintain accountability for operating within FGD budget.
- Ensure that manuals, equipment, and other assets are regularly audited, updated, and accounted for.
- Assist DES on creation, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures for FGD.
- Ensure purchasing policies are followed and invoices are processed within guidelines.
- Provide on-call assistance per rotation schedule.
- Collaborate with other Lead Workers in the Environmental Services Department to ensure resident requests are handled.
- Function as a Facilities Technician as needed.
What is required in this position?
- High school diploma/GED.
- Five (5) years of experience in Facilities Maintenance with one (1) year as a supervisor preferred.
- Strong mechanical background to include background or licensure in Low Pressure Steam Boilers, Air Conditioning, Electrical or Plumbing.
- Have a valid State of Wisconsin driver's license and the ability to transport self and materials to various locations on an occasional basis as well as drive company vehicles.
