Job Duties Include
- Prepare general ledger, chart of accounts and financial statements.
- Assist with annual audit and budget reporting.
- Manage reporting on all capital improvements, property taxes, land leases and fixed assets.
- Serve as primary support to Controller.
- Work directly with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Scale, Shop, and Crop reporting as necessary.
- Maintain professional relationship with customers and vendors.
- Work directly with managers in all aspects of financial reporting.
- Work under established guidelines and controls, including Generally Accepted Audit Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial Accounting Standards Boards (FASB) and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other team members and management
- Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
- Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Threemile Canyon Farms
- Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
Requirements
- Four-year degree in accounting required
- 3-5 years’ experience in accounting.
- System knowledge should include solid proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products and 10-key. Experience with Great Plains Accounting Software or similar accounting programs preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting processes (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger), reconciling accounts, and processing book closings.
- Solid analytical skills to analyze business processes and identify risk; apply sound, well-balanced reasoning to reach decisions quickly and accurately.
- Able to work alone or in a team environment.
- Able to work safely around equipment and other people.
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
