Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support project and financial governance for a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project financial management, budgeting, and forecasting, and thrive in a collaborative team setting that spans across technical and operational functions.
You will play a key role in supporting leadership and project teams with accurate financial reporting, insights, and governance practices to ensure efficiency, compliance, and strategic decision-making across multiple initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Own and maintain project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with Technical Product Managers (TPMs) and Project Managers (PMs) to develop, monitor, and refine project budgets.
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare regular financial reports for leadership, highlighting variances, trends, and actionable insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to project teams, offering financial guidance and fostering transparent communication.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement enhancements to streamline financial operations and improve data integrity.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to project governance standards, methodologies, and documentation practices.
- Resource Management: Support project teams in resource planning and utilization tracking.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure alignment with project and financial standards.
- PMO Support: Assist the PMO with tools, templates, and administrative tasks to support project delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing optimization of financial and project management processes.
- Audit Readiness: Ensure compliance with policies and support audit activities through well-maintained documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Proven experience in project financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with financial management tools and Excel; knowledge of project management tools a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work across functional areas.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
