Adolescent IOP Counselor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in substance abuse counseling and be skilled in facilitating group. This role involves providing support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges, utilizing techniques to promote recovery. The Counselor will work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans and facilitate their journey towards recovery.

Duties

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address substance use issues.
• Assess clients' needs through interviews and evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Communicate with outside agencies to coordinate treatment for clients
• Utilize Telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions as needed.
• Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices and innovative treatment methods.
• Collaborate with other SUD professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Support clients with special education needs by integrating appropriate strategies into individual sessions and group.

Experience

• A chemical dependency counselor assistant license
• Previous experience in substance use counseling is preferred; familiarity with IOP group counseling
• Experience with Telehealth services and understanding of HIPAA compliance are highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations are critical for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
