Responsibilities:
- Perform patient restraint during procedures
- Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
- Obtain laboratory sample collection
- Administer vaccines and medications
- Fill prescriptions
- Communicate with and educate clients
- Maintain a clean and sanitized environment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Previous experience in a veterinary assistant role (1 year minimum)
- Commitment to continued educational development and growth.
- Must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment and decision-making skills.
- Professional and friendly demeanor with staff and clients
