Founding Technical Recruiter — Compliance Infrastructure (Series A)

A fast-growing Series A company at the forefront of compliance infrastructure is looking for its first Founding Technical Recruiter. Fresh off a $32M raise, the team is scaling rapidly and needs someone exceptional to own the entire engineering hiring function — from sourcing and closing elite technical talent to shaping the systems and culture that will define the company’s trajectory.
This role is high-impact and highly autonomous. You’ll partner directly with the founders, leading all candidate engagement, recruiting operations, and process design. The ideal candidate is deeply technical, with the credibility to engage top-tier engineers and the network to attract world-class builders — standout engineers from cutting-edge startups.
While your initial focus will be on engineering, you’ll also help define recruiting across other key roles as the company scales. Compensation is structured at the 90th percentile of market benchmarks, with meaningful equity in a rapidly accelerating startup.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the full-cycle recruiting process for engineering and technical roles
- Build and manage sourcing strategies to attract elite technical talent
- Partner closely with the founding team to shape hiring strategy and company culture
- Evaluate candidates with technical depth and precision
- Develop and refine a scalable recruiting process for future growth
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 years of experience recruiting for technical or engineering roles (flexible for exceptional operators)
- Proven ability to attract and close top-tier technical talent
- Strong technical literacy — able to evaluate deeply technical candidates credibly
- Established network in the startup and engineering community
- Independent operator comfortable with high ownership and minimal oversight
- Exceptional communicator and closer who can sell the vision of an early-stage company
