Description
Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a Growing Lumber and Building materials company, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform building material take-offs.
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Travels regularly throughout territory to call on regular and prospective customer to solicit orders or talk with customers by phone.
- Display or demonstrates product to customers
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules
- Work with Sales Coordinator to keep account activities up to date
- Develop and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts
- Investigate and resolves customer problems with deliveries
- Attend trade shows
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Essential Requirements:
- Must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily
- Extensive experience in lumber, trusses, windows, doors, roofing, millwork and commercial hardware.
- Detail oriented
- Highly motivated, self-starter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use a smart phone and have general computer skills
- Must have prior selling experience
