District Overview

As part of TIC Power, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, you will contribute to a team that excels in providing construction services focused on Power Generation. Our operations leverage a strong foundation in estimating and pre-project planning, allowing us to tackle complex projects ranging from cogeneration and combined-cycle facilities to geothermal and waste-to-energy plants. Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Drive the development of comprehensive project plans that encompass timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to facilitate seamless execution. Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure milestones are consistently met and projects remain on track.
  • Site Management: Take charge of daily construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Regular site inspections and logistics management are essential to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide project teams, fostering an environment that promotes collaboration and accountability. Provide mentorship and ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Risk Management: Actively identify and assess potential project risks, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate them. Monitor ongoing progress and conduct necessary interventions to address challenges.
  • Client Communication: Cultivate strong relationships with clients through regular updates and ongoing dialogue. Address any concerns professionally and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Maintain rigorous oversight of project expenses to stay within budgetary limits. Prepare and deliver financial reports that keep stakeholders informed.
  • Contract Administration: Navigate the complexities of managing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance and effectively addressing any disputes or changes.
  • Quality Control: Enforce quality control measures that guarantee project deliverables meet or exceed established standards. Conduct inspections and tests to validate compliance.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep meticulous project documentation, encompassing progress updates, change orders, and meeting records. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders involved.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee that all construction activities remain compliant with relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Secure all necessary permits and approvals to support project execution.


Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel and relocate: Your flexibility is essential, as project demands may necessitate changes in location.
  • Experience: Bring 5 years of proven success in managing commercial construction projects across diverse environments, demonstrating solid outcomes and leadership skills.
  • Educational Background: Hold an undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understand project scheduling and financial controls, and read both project owner specifications and engineering drawings fluently.
  • Team Work: Exhibit the capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong commitment to seeing projects through to completion, often going above and beyond to meet goals.
  • Detail-Oriented: Scanning for discrepancies and addressing small details is vital to project success.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential for effective project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Organizational Skills: Exhibit impeccable time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.

Base Compensation: $145,000 - $202,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
