Senior Accountant – Tiffin Motor Homes, Inc.
Job Description:
This is an on-site opportunity working in Red Bay, Alabama.
POSITION DUTIES: Reporting to the Tiffin Group Director of Accounting, duties are as follows:
- Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of financial analyses and reports.
- Participate in the month end close cycle.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly and yearly reporting packages.
- Oversight of capital assets and relevant controls.
- Work with Director of Facilities on Capital budget.
- Oversight of property tax return filings.
- Sales and use tax return preparation.
- Provide requested financial information to Corporate Tax Department.
- Oversight of quarterly tax return filings.
- Assist with physical inventory counts.
- Other – Prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines; Take-on special projects and other duties as needed; Participate in various job duties/responsibilities and special projects as directed or determined on own initiative.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 2 years of accounting experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Ability to train and manage staff.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Exemplify a work-ready, solution-minded, customer-driven, and coachable attitude for the task at hand. Do it once; do it well.
