TITLE: Route Auditor
Department: Operations
Reports To: Dispatch Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The primary objective of the Route Auditor is to maintain the integrity of routes. This objective is achieved via field work auditing residential and commercial routes and containers, removing, repairing, or replacing as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Performs and documents pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company issued vehicles.
- Identify, confirm, and remove Tiger carts from non-customer locations.
- Verify and track commercial containers for size, condition, and time at locations.
- Ensure repair parts, carts, tools, and safety equipment are on truck and in good condition.
- Identify and perform repair/swap on damaged containers at active accounts, updating account of work performed and notifications as required.
- Notifies supervisor immediately of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage that may occur while completing activities on route.
- Prepares, analyzes, and communicates audit findings.
- Documents all findings, daily and cumulative.
- Ensures accurate completion of route sheet and VCR by the end of each day.
- Assists dispatch in completing duties, when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to reconcile route sheets with valid customer addresses using computer pad or other device.
- Ability to proficiently navigate, in forward and reverse motion, driveways, alleyways, high traffic roadways with potential limited overhead and compact areas.
- Ability to operate vehicles in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and all local, state, and federal law.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
- Ability to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for our customers, employees, and community.
- Must be able to effectively communicate detailed information over the telephone and in person.

Education and Experience
- Must possess a valid Class C license.
- 1 year of field auditing experience preferred.
Working Conditions
This position will be mostly based in an outdoor environment, exposed to the elements, with extended periods of standing, sitting, squatting, climbing, reaching, and lifting.
