What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD designer/CNC programmer position at Tigmaster Co.?

Tigmaster Company is a custom steel fabricator that manufactures products for several different industries and with our continued growth we are looking to add an impact player to our Engineering office.

We are seeking energetic, mechanically-inclined person with the desire to build a career in steel fabrication. The ideal candidate for the CAD/CAM position is a self-starter who will work diligently and is detail oriented.

SHIFT: First shift Monday - Friday

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Create flat layouts of sheet metal components
  • Make programs for a laser cutter
  • Ability to read blueprints and recognize material specifications
  • Make files to additional cutting machines
  • Ability to learn or have some working knowledge of computers/files
  • Design products to customer specifications using 3D and 2D software

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or GED preferred. CAD training preferred,

EXPERIENCE: Prior CAD experience required. Sheet metal experience preferred.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
