Position Summary: The General Maintenance Technician I will Interpret manufacturers' manuals, or similar documents; determining methods and materials to be used in completing assignments; making standard shop calculations; prioritizing requests; and responding to emergencies.

Experience Requirements:                                                                                                                                         

• Performs mild problematic maintenance and repair work using skills and knowledge of mechanical and base level electrical and some specialized hand or power-tools.
• Responsible for participating in hardware roadmap planning sessions and testing new products to validate compatibility and functionality.
• Processes repair orders and other specialized maintenance records of equipment and mechanical equipment.
• Determines methods and materials to be used in completing assignments, making standard shop calculations.
• Assists in repairs of electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems and related systems.
• Drives trucks of various sizes and weights with or without trailers in the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment and material.
• Completes preventive maintenance for all assigned mechanical and project equipment.
• Prioritizes requests and responds to emergencies.
• Interprets manufacturers' manuals, or similar documents.
• Services and repairs mechanical equipment.
• General Daily Report to management

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• 1 or 2 years of experience in maintenance.
• Experience in electrical, hydraulics, and related experience.
• Relevant degree, certification, or license may be required.
• Driver's license.

Supervisory Responsibility:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• May be required to serve a probationary period.

• This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Clearance Required: Yes 

Type of Clearance: Secret- (Must be Able to Obtain)

Current Secret Clearance preferred.

Location: Onsite El Paso Tx  

Travel: Some travel is expected for this position.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.      

Physical and Technical Environment: 

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
