What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Timberline Communications?
The Assistant Project Manager acts as a resource to the Project Manager(s) by assisting in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with 60 Dish deployed generators.
- Confirmed with Dish that deployed generators will be BAU until all sites have commercial power.
- 1000 sites slated to be on air-by close of Summer 2023. The MOP will be to bring sites up on gen power to be telco ready.
- APM will schedule and track deployments and refuels. Issue sub-contracts and PO’s.
- Assist with Generator storage program.
- 60 towable generators.
- Track and report monthly exercise reports.
- Track and schedule Preventive Maintenance.
- Assist in WAR Room during disaster events.
- Track billing and financials.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with contracts, plans, and specifications.
- Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling and estimating.
- The APM must work well under pressure, be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems, is essential.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
- The APM must be able to establish a good working relationship with team.
- The APM will be required to visit project sites as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable discipline.
- 1-2 years of project management experience preferred.
- OSHA 10-hr is a plus.
