What are the responsibilities and job description for the Small Cell Foreman position at Timberline Communications?
Timberline Communication is looking for motivated individuals with Foreman experience installing cable and antenna systems on existing and new light poles, telephone poles and other structures throughout New England. Offices based out of Canton MA and Hookset, NH.
What You Will Do:
- Antenna mounting and setting azimuth
- Connector installation by all manufacturers
- Installation of DC power and fiber optic cables
- Configure radios through GUI interface
- Label all cables in accordance with Carrier standards
- Manage a two-man crew
- Make sure all traffic control and safety barriers are in place during installation
- Ensure that safety and quality controls are being practiced by TCI and subcontractors
- Ensure all consumable materials are pulled and, on the truck
- Ensure all closeout documentation is captured and sent same day to the construction manager
- End of Day updates outlining progress
- Operate a bucket truck in a safe manner
- Ensure the bucket truck is cleaned and maintained
- Fill out JSA documents and send to construction manager
What You Will Need:
- Sweep, Fiber, and PIM testing experience required.
- Experience installing, terminating, and testing all aspects of a wireless communication site.
- Experience in managing a small crew
- Knowledge of grounding specifications.
- All potential hires must have a current valid driver’s license and a DOT medical card.
- All candidates must have all the required hand tools to perform job.
- Previous experience working on communications towers is required.
- Previous experience operating a bucket truck
- Must be self-motivated and able to work by themselves.
Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions:
- Must be able to work in a bucket up to a height of 50ft.
- Must be able to lift 80lbs
