Summary
Qualified candidates will be responsible for supporting a dynamic HR team, and thriving business by providing administrative support in a highly confidential, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. The HR Specialist is an experienced HR Professional with responsibility for multiple activities related to Human Resources, including Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits and Employee Relations. This position will report to the HR Manager in the Wallingford, CT facility
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Update and maintain confidential employee personnel files, I-9 documentation, etc.
Weekly, Bi-Weekly, and Semi-Monthly Payroll processing and associated reporting
Participate and support the recruitment process for exempt, non-exempt & hourly positions
Schedule interviews
Prepare Offer Letters
Attend Career/Job fairs
Facilitate the on-boarding process for new employees, interns and temporary employees
Process pre-employment screenings
Set up new hire files
Prepare paperwork for New Hire Orientation and Training
Conduct New Hire Orientation and Training
Prepare new hire badges
Maintain HRIS databases
Prepare routine and non-routine reports
Respond to employment verifications
Maintain general office functions related to Human Resources
Special projects and other duties as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred, with at least three years' experience working in HR
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
Excellent organization, time management, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred
