Job Title: Refrigeration Supervisor

Duration: Full Time

Summary:

To provide guidance, and leadership, to the engineers working within the engineering department with primary responsibilities regarding the facilities portion of the engineering department i.e.; Refrigeration, HVAC, Compressed Air, Waste Water, Water Supply, and other facilities-related systems. Provide a resource for the Assistant Directors and Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Primary Responsibility is to manage the daily operations of the Engineering department and. provide direction, knowledge, and assistance to Engineers regarding the facilities portion of plant operations.
• Provide assistance as required to the operations area floor engineers as needed.
• Provide training, knowledge, and direction to the Refrigeration and Facilities engineering staff regarding standard operating procedures, PM’s and work orders, safety procedures, and staff scheduling.
• To update and maintain the Process Safety Management programs for the refrigeration systems at the facility.
• Provide training and guidance to the Engineers involved with the Ammonia refrigeration systems and processes.
• Work closely with other departments to insure that refrigeration, and other facilities systems are operated in the most effective, safe, and efficient means to achieve company goals and objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of Ammonia Refrigeration Engineers, facilities maintenance, and painter. Provide supervision of floor engineers as required.
• Assist in hiring, training, etc of department and engineering personnel

Qualifications:

• Five year’s experience in operation maintenance and repair of ammonia refrigeration, and other facilities related systems in a food-processing environment.
• Five year’s experience in supervision of maintenance engineering personnel relating to facilities systems and multi-craft technicians
• Handle multiple projects and duties simultaneously
• Knowledge of multiple plant systems including but not limited to Refrigeration, Water, Wastewater, air, boiler, cryogenic, and mechanical processing systems in a USDA processing environment
• Ability to work with contractors, engineers, operations and office personnel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Experience:
