Timoney Knox, LLP, a prominent Montgomery County PA law firm, is in need of a skilled civil litigation paralegal with 3 years of experience, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Essential Duties:
- Obtain, review and analyze documents, including financial records, tax and employment records and other relevant information
- Legal Research
- Calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files and manage logistics
- Retain court reporters and schedule conference rooms for depositions
- Organize and review exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Review and summarize deposition transcripts
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Finalize and e-file pleadings, motions and documents
- Prepare for trial by preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, witnesses and witness files
- Enter time into billing system
Requirements:
- Personable, dedicated, and able to work well with clients
- E-filing experience
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures
- Highly organized and independent with ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Extensive computer expertise, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), document management systems (iManage)
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
