Handle and dispose of waste in accordance with established protocols.
Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are properly utilized and stored.
Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must have knowledge of basic housekeeping and have ability to work with cleaning chemicals. Must be self motivated to accomplish work as it arises. Must have mental ability to follow OSHA guidelines for infection control. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, carry, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
