The WIC Nutrition Assistant position pays $15.50/hour, with a 2% increase at the completion of a 90 day orientation period. Schedule can vary; 35 hours per week.

The WIC Nutrition Assistant job responsibilities include:
- Screens and verifies applicants for income eligibility and updates household information
- Collects information for the nutrition assessment process
- Completes issuance of food packages that don't require medical documentation
- Participates in outreach activities and community events to promote the knowledge, awareness, and access of WIC services to the community at large
- Provides referrals to health and social services
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduation from High School or High school equivalency diploma OR Licensed Practical Nurse
AND
Experience working in the healthcare field, including volunteer experience OR experience with providing customer service and computer data entry, including volunteer experience
