Description
JOB TITLE: Director of Sales Training

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales training vision that supports organizational goals and revenue growth
- Lead the creation and delivery of onboarding programs, sales playbooks, and ongoing training for all sales roles (inside, field, account management, etc.)
- Collaborate with sales leaders to assess training needs based on performance metrics, product launches, and market changes
- Design curriculum and training content, including eLearning, instructor-led courses, role-plays, and certifications
- Implement and manage sales enablement tools
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure training effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery
- Coach and mentor sales managers and trainers on coaching skills, pipeline management, and performance feedback
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor strategies, and adult learning best practices
- Manage and develop a team of trainers and sales enablement professionals (if applicable)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Automotive Management, Marketing, or related field (Master’s a plus) or similar years of experience
- 7 years of experience in sales, sales training preferred
- 3 years of leadership experience overseeing training teams or large-scale sales development programs preferred
- Proven success building and delivering training programs across multiple locations or regions
- Ability to travel frequently (up to 80%)
- Comfortable working across diverse teams (corporate, field sales)
- Passion for automotive innovation and performance excellence
- Strong instructional design and facilitation skills, including in-person and digital training delivery preferred
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report on training impact and sales KPIs
- Strategic thinker who can align sales training initiatives with goals and performance metrics
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team development abilities
- Up-to-date on industry trends, compliance standards, and customer experience best practices
