Kitchen Manager – Full Time - This role will be responsible for all aspects of the food service operation for a senior living community: manages production, employee training and customer service; menu selection, food safety, inventory and cost control. The ideal candidate is a great communicator and team lead with a passion for an outstanding food product and unexpected guest experience. Complies with federal, company standards.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Recruit and hire staff
- Supervise and coordinate activities of employees
- Determine staff schedules and requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of food
- Ensure new employees receive instruction and are trained properly
- Encourages teamwork and builds high morale among team members
- Ensure compliance to established standards for kitchen
- Ensure sanitation standards and regulations are followed
- Manage the estimation of amounts and costs of required supplies
- Monitor the ordering of food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation
- Check the quality and quantity of received products
- Manage and/or arrange for equipment purchase and repairs
- Ensure that the menus are varied, nutritionally balances, and appetizing
- Prepare food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions and specifications
- Assist where needed
- Works closely with Executive Director regarding kitchen operations and personnel
- Conducts staff meetings on a regular basis
- Communicates openly and honestly
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service experience required
- Valid driver’s license
