THE ROLE: TJH is currently looking for a Construction Superintendent to join our team. You are an experienced construction management professional with an understanding of field operations, systems, and procedures and are excited about building people the home of their dreams. You will be part of our Construction department, responsible for handling vertical construction.
DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Report to Area Manager
- Drive to various job sites
- Management of Gantt Schedule daily in Salesforce
- Management of trade partners daily in the field
- Work daily with our technology platform merging your construction knowledge with real time data collection to ensure the accurate tracking of project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure trade partner work is completed on time, and within defined standards of quality
- Inspect, validate workmanship and product quality to conform to company standards
- Walk houses/jobsites daily and create a punch list to ensure work is completed on time
- Collaboration and proactive positive communication with Purchasing, Design, and Land Development teams.
- Develop and facilitate positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors through honest, timely and clear communications.
- Coordinate with Quality team at key milestones and to ensure adherence to standards and details
- Participate in Construction Superintendent Training program
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Relevant construction certification and/or license or equivalent relevant on the job experience
- 3-5 years of experience in residential construction/home building
- Experience in management of a Gantt chart construction schedule
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Valid Driver’s License
