What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at TJM Industries Inc?
Seeking a HR Generalist for a manufacturing company about 15 minutes from State College, PA.
Essential Functions of the Job Include:
--Assist in a Recruiting efforts for the plant vis hiring or through temp agencies
--Keep HRIS system up to date with any needed changes and additions
--Assist with HR projects for the plant
--Assist with Employee Relations efforts and provide great customer service
--Conduct on-boarding and off-boarding processes
--Verifies weekly payroll processing for the plant and office
--Tracks attendance and FMLA records. Administers attendance system.
--Handles unemployment comp paperwork and hearings
--Assist with plant grievance system
--Administers drug testing program for the plant
--Prepares reports as needed
Desired Education, Certifications, Experience:
--Would prefer a BS-Human Resources but not required
--Another degree BS or Associates or 5 plus years of experience doing similar tasks
--PHR certification a plus
