What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Health Aide (HHA) position at TLC Home Healthcare?
Looking for Home Health Aides throughout Trumbull & Mahoning County. What are we looking for:
- Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly
- Ability to carry out directions, read, and write
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with demands of the job
Responsibilities:
- Understands and adheres to agency policies and procedures
- Performs personal care, bath and hands on care as assigned
- completes appropriate visit records in a timely manner per agency policy
- Reports changes in the patients condition and needs to the RN
- Performs household services essential to health care in the home as assigned
- ambulates and exercises the patient as assigned
- Attends patient care conferences as scheduled
Work Environment:
- works indoors in Agency office and patients homes and travels to and from patients home
Risk Exposure:
- High Risk
Lifting Requirements:
Ability to perform the following tasks as necessary
- ability to participate in physical activity
- ability to work for extended periods of time while standing and being involved in physical activity
- heavy lifting
- ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis
