One (1) Board Position
**CANDIDACY REQUIRES A LETTER OF INTEREST, RESUME, AND PROOF OF CHAPTER VOTER REGISTRATION TO BE CONSIDERED.**
Qualifications for Board Consideration:
- Must be eighteen (18) years or older.
- An enrolled member of the Navajo tribe.
- A commitment to and understanding of FDIHB, Inc. mission and responsibilities, based on previous organizational leadership experience.
- Must be passionate about FDIHB's mission and have the ability to work with an active and diverse board leadership.
- Selected Board Members will have achieved leadership stature in business, government, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector.
- Diplomatic skills and natural affinity for cultivating relationships and influencing, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals.
- Must not be an employee of another healthcare facility or have a conflicting interest with FDIHB.
- Must be a registered voting member in one of the following 16 chapters:
- Cornfields
- Crystal
- Fort Defiance
- Ganado
- Greasewood Springs
- Houck
- Kinlichee (Kin Dah Lichii’)
- Klagetoh
- Lupton (Tsé Si' Aní)
- Sanders (Nahatʼá Dziil)
- Oak Springs
- Red Lake (Navajo)
- Sawmill
- Saint Michaels
- Steamboat
- Wide Ruins
- Must commit at least 10 hours a month to board responsibilities.
- Must adequately pass an extensive character background check and investigation.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for improving the lives of FDIHB’s stakeholders.
