About the Role
Identifying new target markets, building and maintaining relationships with prospective and current clients with the objective of achieving sales revenue and growth according to team and individual targets.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Ensure sound knowledge of tna’s products and services is developed and continually maintained as new product lines and product upgrades are launched.
- Identify and develop business opportunities with new & current clients, in existing industries and new target markets that can be served by tna’s product lines.
- Coordinate the development of sales promotion and lead generation activities, plus other relevant marketing initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective customer relationships, negotiating all terms of the sale and providing ongoing support.
- Meet and exceed team & individual sales targets to maximize tna’s growth and meet budget.
- Evaluate, develop and execute targeted initiatives to help grow sales and overall support for tna’s equipment including annual business plans with objectives.
- Discuss specific client requirements with the Design Engineers, to ensure the product range can be adapted to meet their specifications.
- Work with the Engineers and Project Management Team to confirm specific client requirements, timeframes for installation and tna practices and requirements.
- Liaise with Technical Support to achieve and maintain client satisfaction, from installation and commissioning to maintenance.
- Work closely with the General Manager to ensure account business plans are realistic and achievable, and provide reports as requested.
- Disseminate knowledge of products and client specifications to tna personnel (globally)
- Develop and implement strategies for optimum use of sales staff.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of competitor products and pricing.
- Attend and work at trade shows / exhibitions held throughout the year (including some weekends)
- 50% travel at short notice, locally and overseas, including some weekends.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications: Business, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, or other technical training
Work Experience:
- Proven track record in sales success
- Relevant work experience in special purpose or industrial machinery sales or a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Exposure to the food or packaging industry is desirable but not mandatory.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Sales or marketing solutions and strategies to meet set targets/KPIs.
Skills & Abilities:
- Able to stage a selling process that overcomes objection and indifferences and connects client needs with tna solutions.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to think strategically with good reasoning ability.
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and problem-solver.
- Able to provide excellent customer experiences – building strong relationships.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Working as part of the team
