Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Fax therapy notes and schedules to employers, case managers and insurance adjusters in timely manner.
- Update WC Info Sheets to ensure complete and accurate contact and insurance information.
- Work correspondence from worker’s comp payers
- Take incoming phone calls from employers, case managers and adjusters pertaining to work status and plan of treatment on patients. Ensure all calls and messages are returned by end of day.
- Document in EHR when you work any correspondence or take a phone call regarding a work comp patient.
- Update employer/case manager files with appropriate information for contact.
- Represent TOC Therapy at WC functions in a professional and polite manner.
- Work therapy order list to obtain approval for services.
- Schedule WC patients and communicate with case managers, employers and insurance adjusters about non-compliance.
- Assist therapists in obtaining job descriptions and medical records for appointments.
- Help coordinate work flow.
- All other duties as assigned or asked to perform.
- Candidate needs to be self-confident, organized, hard-working and able to work well with others.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
- Must possess computer knowledge with a high level of productivity
- Worker’s compensation experience preferred but not required
- HS/GED required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
- Independent and highly motivated
- Initiative and self-discipline
- Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history
- Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
- Constant sitting for long periods of time
- Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas
- Consistently work at a productive pace
