RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
- Operation of the Snooze overnight program, including setting up facilities and greeting and escorting groups of children and chaperones
- Handling small animals while presenting animal demonstrations
- Delivering the education department content with positive guidance and leadership
- Maintains safety of visitors while fostering communication to all parties
This position reports to the Education Overnight and Scouts Program Coordinator. Experience leading children in informal science education and completion of one year of college. Must be available to work scheduled weekends and evenings, and willing to sleep over night at the Toledo Zoo. Background and experience in animal sciences, education, nature, camping or animal-related jobs also a plus and First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
