Jr. Barista Server

As a Junior Barista in this elevated coffeehouse and café, you’ll support beverage operations by preparing and serving coffee, tea, smoothies, select alcoholic beverages, and other drinks to Members and guests. You’ll also assist with general food and beverage service functions, contributing to the smooth rhythm and refined atmosphere of the space.

This role is ideal for someone with entry-level experience in beverage preparation, a strong interest in learning the craft, and a natural commitment to hospitality.

NOTE: This is a part-time role, between 10–25 hours per week
Pay: $12-$15/hr (tips are not applicable)

Direct Responsibilities (Summary)

• Support the Lead Barista with daily beverage service and prep
• Maintain a stocked and organized beverage station throughout the shift
• Greet guests warmly and by name when possible
• Educate guests on coffee, tea, and beverage selections
• Prepare espresso drinks and other beverages following house recipes and techniques
• Mix select alcoholic beverages using fresh ingredients and proper proportions
• Maintain par levels of ingredients, pastries, and supplies
• Monitor equipment function and cleanliness, performing light maintenance or calling for repair as needed
• Uphold cleanliness and aesthetic standards of the café and service areas
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Entry-level training or experience in hospitality or customer service
• Interest in developing barista and beverage skills
• General familiarity with drink preparation and service standards
• Basic computer/POS literacy
• Positive attitude, team mindset, and strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and move with intention
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks
