What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician/Receptionist position at Tomich Eye Care/inside Costco?
I am hiring for a part-time technician that is available for the following shifts:
- Monday 11am - 7:30pm
- Tuesday 11am - 7:30pm
- Wednesday 10:30am - 6:30pm
- Thursday 11am - 5:30pm
- Saturday 9:30am - 4:30pm
- Sunday 11am - 4:30pm
The position is NOT for a highschooler. The shifts are as listed and can not be shortened.
Our Optometric technicians receive on-the-job training. Training will familiarize you with the clinic’s policies and procedures as well as our computer systems. I am looking for the right person that will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, which include:
- Performing basic tasks; sterilizing equipment, preparing examination rooms & maintaining overall cleanliness throughout Office
- Performing examinations testing patients’ vision acuity, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and/or other visual abilities, as well as retinal photography
- Maintaining patient records
- Answering phones with a HIGH call volume, checking voicemail, emails, etc.
- Collecting & verifying Medical & Vision insurance
- Multitasking and VERY fast paced

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
