SET THE COURSE

Responsible for preparing annual budget and re-forecasts for the organization’s operating and capital budgeting, including eCommerce, wholesale, retail and restaurant divisions and corporate departments. This position may assist with budgeting and financial analysis for the international group. Provide financial analysis and reporting for budget versus actual and prior year performance, conduct financial analysis projects and statistical studies, and prepare and analyze daily/weekly/monthly reports for all divisions and identify trends.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, and compare actual to budget/forecasts.
  • Overall responsibilities will include analysis and reporting on divisional financial performance, (including expense and cost of goods sold) and other costs related to the business for accuracy.
  • Assist in specialized assignments related to financial analysis of new projects and or ventures.
  • Prepares analysis and models for business or new ventures.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly/annual financial reports and schedules provided to management and parent company.
  • Assist in development of models for budgeting, forecasting, 5-year plan as well as other ad hoc analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze daily sales reports for all divisions and identify trends.
  • Implementing, coordinating, and contributing to other projects that require financial review.
  • Create financial analysis tools and processes.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Assist in senior management budget reviews.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of budgeting tools, systems and processes.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
  • Must work closely with Retail, Restaurant, Wholesale and eCommerce division personnel.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • AA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major
  • 3-5+ years’ in financial analysis
  • 2+ years’ experience managing complex projects and priorities
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office (including advanced Excel), as well as Visio and Access
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years’ in a retail company
  • Experience in public accounting and/or auditing or commensurate experience
  • Experience with retail and/or restaurant point of sale and inventory systems
  • Experience with ERP Financial Systems (SAP preferred)
  • Experience with inventory costing and inventory management
  • Experience with reporting tools
  • Good understanding and experience with budgeting, financial and reporting systems
  • Expert analytical skills and good attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly switch between open projects
  • Experience managing and manipulating large amouts of complex data
