Overview
Tomorrow’s Rainbow is seeking a reliable, horse-experienced individual to join our team as a full-time entry-Level Equine Specialist. This position combines hands-on barn work with participation in an Eagala Model equine-assisted psychotherapy team serving children and families healing from grief and trauma.
Responsibilities Include:
- Daily stall cleaning, feeding, grooming, and turnout
- Monitoring horse health and behavior
- Maintaining barn, paddock, and equipment areas
- Preparing horses for sessions
- Serving as a member of an Eagala team providing equine-assisted psychotherapy sessions
- Supporting safe, respectful client-horse interactions
Requirements:
- Minimum 6,000 hours of hands-on horse experience
- Strong equine handling skills and safety awareness
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Interest in learning the Equine Specialist role within an equine-assisted psychotherapy session
- Must be willing to work some evenings and a half day on Saturday
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time position
- Salary: $45,000 per year
