What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Top Care Support?
Top Care Support is looking for a Direct Support Professional who is Caring, Compassionate, Open Minded and Reliable, to assist an individual with Developmental Disabilities living in Highlands, NJ.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living, including but not limited to: house chores, preparing small meals, engaging in community walks with four-legged friend, community safety and awareness, budgeting, etc.
- Teaching independence in ADL skills while providing support as needed with varying levels of prompting.
- Assist individuals in supports outside of the participants home, including community integration, recreational activities, and socialization.
- Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns.
- Transport individual and provide support for activities and outings.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all patient information compliant to HIPAA law and regulations
- Complete daily logs and written reports.
Requirements:
- Is at least 18 years of age
- Has a passion for helping those in need
- Must be willing to have a background check
- Must be willing to take a drug screening
- Must be authorized to legally work in the United States
- Must have a car
- Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
- CPR/First Aid Certification
Schedule of Services:
Monday-Friday, 12-5 pm
Pay rate:
$23 an hour
