Job Overview: Johnny Morris Ozarks Heritage Preserve in Ridgedale, MO is seeking an experienced and dynamic ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER to join our team. This individual is responsible for supervising the visitor access/hospitality experience of the Lost Canyon Cave Trail and Ancient Ozarks Heritage Museum. Assist in planning, promoting, organizing, and providing operational leadership support for the Johnny Morris Ozarks Heritage Preserve at Top of the Rock. This includes implementing policies and procedures that promote positive visitor experience.
Primary Functions
- Provide frequent and consistent feedback to cashiers to assure exceptional customer service is provided and all policies and procedures are being followed.
- Participation in a daily manager on duty rotation.
- Perform daily procedures necessary to collect and account adequately for all revenues received by admission fees.
- Ensures that Guest Services Leads/Associates are all in proper uniform, arriving and breaking at correct times and otherwise upholding all departmental conduct guidelines.
- Corrects Guest Services Leads/Associates as necessary and reports infractions that cannot be verbally resolved to Operations Manager as appropriate.
- Performs supervisory functions including making change for cashiers, performing "return" transactions, counting and reconciling tills to cash out cashiers and resolve discrepancies, and reconciliation of daily receipts/reports at closing.
- Welcome guests, answer questions, and direct guests to the appropriate venues.
- Assists Operations Manager in achieving sales goals and operational/labor budget for Operations.
- Assists Operations Manager by completing data entry and fulfillment required in admissions, and membership sales program, ensures ticketing systems are accurate with correct membership information.
- Assists Operations Manager with various reports and information retrieval from multiple computer databases and systems.
- Responds to inquiries from the general public via telephone, in person, mail and email, providing information accurately and directly.
- Manage timecards for associates including scheduling, approving, and reviewing pre-payroll processing.
- Provide frequent and consistent feedback to cashiers and front-line staff to assure exceptional customer service is provided and all policies and procedures are being followed.

- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance program (working with contractors) for golf cart operations.
- Oversee the day-to-day functions to include receiving, stocking and organizing the retail shop in the welcome center.
- Must have ability to support operations 7-days a week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information, in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
- Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies.
- Must be open to working mandatory/approved overtime to support the business needs when necessary.
- Must be open to working weekends/weekdays/nights when necessary/critical to support the business.
- Must have an approved driving record and operate a company vehicle if required/applicable
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 2 years of experience working in tourism, hospitality, customer service field.
- 5 years related experience leading/managing an operation employing at least 20 employees.
- Experience training, coaching and evaluating employees, and directing others to do the same required.
- Proven competency working with Microsoft Suite.
- Experience preferred but not required working with Blackbaud ALTRU or any ticketing /POS systems
- Requires walking / standing; lifting, stooping, and sitting
- Any combination of experience, education, skills, certification(s) etc. will be taken into consideration
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to sunlight, various animals, weather, loud sounds, low lighting, close quarters, high/low temperatures, etc.
