Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform general custodial tasks including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining restrooms, work areas, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping and mopping to ensure surfaces are clean and well-maintained.
• Execute industrial cleaning procedures as needed to maintain safety standards in high-traffic areas.
• Carry out porter duties by managing waste disposal and ensuring proper recycling practices are followed.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is essential.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
