What are the responsibilities and job description for the D365 Solutions Architect position at Top Stack?
- Solution Architecture Ownership:
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive D365 F&O architectures, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Facilitate requirements analysis and business process design workshops with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and IT stakeholders.
- Technical Design & Documentation:
- Develop high-level architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and detailed integration plans.
- Scalable Solution Design:
- Architect secure, scalable, and performance-optimized solutions aligned with Microsoft’s recommended practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Leadership:
- Serve as the technical lead for D365 F&O projects, providing guidance to developers, consultants, and analysts.
- ISV & Tool Evaluation:
- Assess and recommend ISV products and integration tools that enhance D365 F&O functionality.
- Module Expertise:
- Lead the implementation of core finance modules (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets), supply chain (Procurement, Inventory, Sales), and manufacturing (as applicable).
- Governance & Standards:
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, code quality guidelines, and naming conventions.
- Deployment Readiness:
- Support data migration, testing strategies, and deployment planning activities.
- Systems Integration:
- Design and manage integrations between D365 F&O and external systems (e.g., CRM, payroll, banking, legacy platforms) using Azure services such as Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Data Lake.
- Tool Utilization:
- Utilize Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS), Azure DevOps, and related tools for environment management and release automation.
- Technology Roadmap Awareness:
- Stay up to date with Microsoft’s roadmap for D365, Power Platform, and Azure to ensure forward-looking solution design.
- Program Management:
- Oversee enterprise-scale programs involving 500 users across multiple legal entities, business units, and geographies.
