Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is currently seeking to hire a Chief Engineer to support the Integrated Defense Planner (IDP) Lab at Aviation Missile Command (AvMC) and add a valued employee-owner to our dynamic and employee-centric culture.
As the Chief Engineer for the IDP lab, the candidate will be expected to perform the activities necessary to facilitate daily lab operations, coordinate activities amongst the various stakeholders (outside agency customers & various contractors) and provide status to AvMC government leadership. In addition, candidate will support the development of future concepts and activities. Coordinate the labs GOTS product development & test schedules and provide status of product delivery capabilities and limitations. Candidate should also be familiar with Agile development activities.
Other day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring Cyber activities, status meetings, and product hardening requirements. Monitoring Interoperability tests activities and operational assessment testing.
Candidate will be expected to be self-motivated and work in a fast-paced team environment.
Duties:
- Chief Point of Technical Contact
- Coordinate and execute weekly internal & external tag-ups
- Support customer location meetings
- Develop, Coordinate & consolidate lab & product roadmaps
- Monitor Cyber requirements for lab operations & product deliveries
- Develop various status, concept, and product briefings
- Brief Lab status to customer & affiliated stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate should have a minimum of 15years' relevant experience
- Possess a Bachelors' degree, preferably in a technical field; additional experience may be considered in lieu of specific degree.
- Experience with MDA's C2BMC system
- Experience with MDS Red Force threat development
- Experience with Air & Missile Defense Blue Force weapons systems
- Interceptors
- Sensors
- Communications methodology
- Overhead Systems
- Knowledge of Cyber Information Assurance Processes
- Strong presentation development skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with MDS Defense Planning
- Experience with C2BMC Defense Designer or other Defense planning systems
- Familiarity with NATO missile defense systems
- Familiarity with CIXS (Common IAMD XML Schema)
- Management of modern agile software development activities
- Git/GitLabexperience is a plus
- Familiarity with software test activities
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
