Summary
The Inside Sales Manager manages customer service and inside sales staff and activities, through planning, developing, and establishing policies, processes and objectives that align with corporate strategies
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the customer service and inside sales team, including staffing, objectives, performance, and development
- Develops and executes policies and processes
- Manages departmental goals and performance to those goals
- Addresses customer concerns related to execution of sales orders and customer agreements
- Supports sales activities, including but not limited to processing quotations and customer orders, sales terms and conditions, trade compliance, consignment inventory management, receivables, collections, customer portals, sales statistics, and other related activities
- Continuous Improvement Projects for better customer service, quotations processing, on time delivery and cost
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of the organization’s products and customers
- Demonstrated project management capability
- Demonstrated process improvement capability
- Strong verbal and written communications skills. Capable of communicating across department, country, and organization boundaries
- Working knowledge of ERP, especially quotations, order entry, planning, manufacturing, and shipping
- Demonstrated Leadership capabilities
- Proficiency with a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Office products
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or finance preferred
- Five or more years of relevant experience required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to stand and walk for brief periods of time.
