What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of TVW (This Valley Works) position at Total Action for Progress (TAP)?
Nonprofit seeks an individual to perform complex professional and administrative work in assisting the president of the agency to achieve goals and objectives. To oversee, direct and evaluate This Valley Works programs.
- Supervises leadership team members for all education and workforce development programs to include workforce, re-entry, youth mentoring, youth education and any other programs created.
- Works with assistant directors, managers and coordinators to develop goals, objectives and involve stakeholders as applicable.
- Plans programs and activities to address gaps in education and workforce development services in the TAP service area.
- Instructs and evaluates administrative staff related to planning, operations, fiscal, monitoring, and personnel matters of all programs that are managed by This Valley Works.
- Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in a human service, urban studies or related field; experience in supervision of professional and administrative staff. Experience in developing and implementing education, workforce development or similar programs.
