What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technician position at Total Orthopedics & Sports Medicine?
Total Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is a multi-office provider of musculoskeletal care. We are searching for a full-time certified X-Ray Tech for our Long Island and New York City Offices. Candidate will also have to travel to our Long Island and New York City locations. Candidate should be available on weekends. Candidate should be reliable and punctual and share the same emphasis on patient satisfaction.
The essential duties include the following, other duties may be assigned.
The X-Ray technologist operates or oversees operation of radiologic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient: adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Performs daily quality insurance of the x-ray machine.
Develops and maintains filing system of all x-rays taken.
Serves as resource person for other agencies in activities related to health care, or to clinical operation.
Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials in the work area and knowledge of Hazcom procedures.
Requirements:
NY State Department Registered Radiological Technologist.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
