Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems including security systems, surveillance cameras, fire alarms, and telecommunications equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure low voltage systems including CCTV, IDS, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement customized solutions based on their specific needs.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and repair tasks.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to guide installation processes.
  • Provide field service support including on-site inspections and system upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.

Skills

  • Proficiency in computer networking and remote access software.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, cabling techniques, and NEC regulations.
  • Experience in system design for security applications including sensors and alarm systems.
  • Background in construction or locksmithing is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
