What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Content Producer position at Total Wine & More?

The eCommerce Producer will be a critical member of the team, and will be responsible for the daily management, build and execution of web content across all aspects of TotalWine.com. Critical business partners include marketing, merchandising, promotions, design and production, enterprise content, email, IT and stores. In addition to the day to day management and a focus on continuous improvements, the role will lead process review and optimization, and support future functional development and enhancements.

Essential Functions:

  • Digital store content management, build and execution within the CMS tool set across all totalwine.com site pages including home page, categories, product pages, education pages, stores, curated content, loyalty program, marketing content, and Total Wine organizational content. Content management and validation across multiple platforms: desktop, tablet, mobile, app
  • Flawless digital execution across site content and purchase path; thoughtful integration of merchandising, marketing and promotions strategies
  • Personalization management of content across markets, stores, states, purchase path; leveraging the digital store integration to enhance the omni-channel experience
  • Support or lead with agile teams the assessment, definition, requirements and execution of new features & functionality across tools, content and production areas to support eCommerce team needs
  • Lead and support the creation, review, enhancement, integration and rollout of processes across cross-functional teams; function as process evangelists
  • Understand the end-to-end customer journey and basic elements of content analytics
  • Lead web production for all aspects of site including navigation, product facets, site search, buy path /check-out experience, omni-channel fulfillment and in store pick up, loyalty program, promotions, Rich Relevance and product personalization, mobile optimization, brand, product & category content, SEO Integration, ratings & reviews, 3rd party content, video
  • Track deliverables from start-to-finish with cross-functional teams responsible for deliverables
  • Manage against tight turnarounds, short cycle marketing and implementing fixes to help meet compliance or marketing requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues with non-technical business users regarding the web platform and has experience entering and tracking tickets through to resolution with IT or Production Support groups
  • Content tagging and working with teams who use Abode/Omniture, Google Analytics or other enterprise-level tracking applications
  • Manage SEO elements as needed and feasible within site tools

Experience

Experience is important. To set you apart:

  • 5 years of experience with online content production through a CMS tool set with a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly; eCommerce retail experience preferred
  • Use of Content Management Systems (CMS) technology to manage websites with preference to large-scale enterprise systems including (but not limited to) Hybris, ATG or Abode
  • Understanding of content management technologies, platforms and systems, apps, in-store experiences technologies
  • Entry-level or intermediate web design/development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and basic coding understanding and proficiency
  • Experience building individual pages and enhance sections of existing pages within an HTML/HTML5 framework preferred
  • Capable of taking a flat image and creating a webpage. Able to provide guidance to creative teams regarding SEO, markup and final deliverables
  • Basic photo editing skills, with Photoshop or GIMP preferred but not required
  • Experience with content tagging using Abode/Omniture, Google Analytics or other enterprise-level tracking platforms.
  • Experience working cross-functionally, especially with creative, merchandising, IT, eCommerce, buying teams and/or store operations units
  • Experience with testing and deploying products or systems features and functionalities within a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a production environment, including a regularly scheduled, monthly publishing cycle (plan, build, review, go-live)

Education

  • BS/BA degree required

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with multiple partners, manage to priorities, and support development and execution of all aspects of website content within a small team environment
  • Comfort in a production environment, including regularly scheduled (daily, weekly, monthly) publishing cycles from planning, build, review and validation through go live
  • Highly organized with superior attention to detail
