Description:
As a Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide consistent, compassionate care to patients in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. You'll support individuals who require daily medical attention due to aging, chronic illness, or recovery from surgery or injury. Your role is vital in helping residents maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Working closely with a team of healthcare professionals, you’ll ensure each patient receives the ongoing care and attention they deserve in a long-term setting.
Qualifications
Current RN license, BLS (other certifications as required by facility), Two years of recent Long Term Care RN experience, Strong communication and adaptability skills
Responsibilities
Assess residents’ health and develop individualized care plans tailored to their ongoing needs., Administer medications and treatments, including wound care and IV therapy., Monitor patient conditions and document any changes or concerns., Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence when possible., Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, and other care providers to ensure coordinated care., Educate residents and families on health conditions and care plans., Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines., Respond to emergencies and advocate for resident safety and well-being.
