TotalRecycle is looking for a Forklift Operator to join our team to work at a cutting-edge recycle center in Birdsboro, PA. The Forklift operator is responsible for safely operating both gas & electric forklifts in a fast-paced recycling plant environment. Forklift operators are also responsible for recording all production & movement of materials to the Front Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Watching Bale Line
- Storing Bales in an organized & safe manner
- Separating Bales by recycle commodity
- Report hourly bale production to Front Office
- Keeping a detailed ECR log
- Directing Outbound Trucks
- Loading Outbound Shipments in a safe & timely manner
- Offloading any inbound trailer shipment/Delivery
- Participate in DDO activity (when necessary)
- Ensure the Operation yard is litter free
- Assisting w/ cleanup of spill/leaks from Outbound Customers
- Effectively communicate to Front Office on what was loaded/brought in
TASKS:
- Enforce Safety in the Bale Room
- Complete understanding and enforcement of “Bale Area Safety”
- Receive Outbound Customers
- Ensure Safety of Customer
- Be a pleasant and informative Customer Service Representative
- Inspect Outbound Material
- Photograph and report contaminants
- Remove contaminants before loading into outbound truck
- Direct Outbound Drivers
- Authorize movement thru yard into correct loading dock
- Load & Direct Outbound Trucks
- Prioritize time to load Outbound Trucks
- Check quality of Bales before loading
- Clean Baler During Shutdowns
- Periodically “Blow Out” Forklift
- Blowout must be logged
- Perform periodic ECR (Equipment Condition Report)
- Bi-Daily inspections of the bay doors – Report any damage done internally or by customers to the facility.
- Assist in cleaning spill; notify maintenance of issues
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
