The Daycare Assistant position is a year round position.
Job description:
Daycare Assistant will be responsible for the well-being of the children under their care. They must monitor the children all day to ensure that they play and interact with one another in a safe and appropriate manner. Some of their typical duties include:
- Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
- Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day
- Preparing meals and snacks for the kids
- Organizing activities and developing curriculum for children
- Developing a schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day
Qualifications for both positions: Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willing to complete early education trainings and workshops on a yearly basis
- Previous experience working with children preferably in a daycare or educational setting
- Must have own transportation
- Must be able to pass background check
Salary will be based off previous and relevant experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
