What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Liaison position at TOUCHSTONE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH?
General Summary:
The general purpose of this position is to implement prevention programs with a specific focus on increasing community capacity, engaging in community development, as well as youth and parent engagement.
Essential Functions:
1. Organizes, recruits, implements, and facilitates community, parent, and/or youth prevention workshops 2. Recruits community sectors to establish partnerships and to participate in coalition meetings 3. Recruits, plans, and facilitates coalition meetings, coalition subcommittee meetings, and other coalition events including the parent and/or youth leadership components 4. Organizes community events as well as participates in other health fairs/events in the community 5. Researches, creates, and/or distributes materials designed to enhance community awareness and education 6. Empowers, prepares, and trains community members to move towards sustainability of programming. 7. Provide referrals and resources to parents and youth. Updates resource lists to ensure youth friendliness, validity and practicality to the community. 8. Helps to construct, collect, distribute, and complete all community needs assessments including gathering statistics, completing focus groups, distributing surveys, interviewing and other such methods. 9. Completes all necessary documentation and reports for the program, agency and coalition. 10. All other duties as assigned.
