This role supports the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring safe, functional, and well-maintained apartment homes. Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Operations & Repairs
Assist in coordinating and prioritizing work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
Assist with scheduling, training, and supervising maintenance team members.
Help prepare vacant apartments for move-ins, ensuring units are clean, repaired, and market-ready.
Work with contractors and vendors to complete larger projects and specialty repairs.
Assist in managing inventory of supplies and tools; reorder items as necessary.
Respond promptly to on-call or after-hours emergencies as needed.
Skilled in general maintenance with knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders.
May include weekday, evening, and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

- Perform skilled tasks in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general property upkeep.
- Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs efficiently to maintain resident satisfaction.
Assist with scheduling, training, and supervising maintenance team members.
- Promote a collaborative, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
- Provide direction and support in the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence.
Help prepare vacant apartments for move-ins, ensuring units are clean, repaired, and market-ready.
- Address punch list items including painting, flooring, appliance replacement, and fixture repairs.
Work with contractors and vendors to complete larger projects and specialty repairs.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety protocols and building codes.
Assist in managing inventory of supplies and tools; reorder items as necessary.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, inspections, and supply usage.
Respond promptly to on-call or after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve urgent issues with minimal disruption to residents.
Skilled in general maintenance with knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
- Leadership experience and the ability to coach and guide a team.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and service excellence.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Must be EPA Certified.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade school or vocational training in maintenance or building systems is a plus.
- Prior experience in apartment or facility maintenance preferred.
Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders.
- Regular lifting of tools and materials up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs (with assistance).
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
- Visual and auditory abilities to identify issues and communicate effectively in-person and via phone/radio.
May include weekday, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Participation in on-call rotation required.
- Occasional travel to nearby properties or training events may be needed.
