What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Technician - Short Procedure Unit position at Tower Health?
- Responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
- Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient.
- Perform observations of patients and reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
- Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
- Assist in all aspects of daily living activities for the patients, including, but not limited to general hygiene of the patient, changings, light housekeeping, patient vitals, and preparing surgical patients for the operating room.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience
- Prior direct patient care experience (at least 1-2 years of PCA experience) preferred.
Certification and Licensure
- BLS Certification
