The Wealth Advisor greatly contributes to the success of the Towerpoint Wealth team. This position will primarily work side by side with our Partner Wealth Advisors to service the financial needs of existing clients and to assist with prospecting new clients over time to develop a new book of business.
Regularly interacting with clients, team members, and external professionals and networking partners across a myriad of different functions, the AWA will need to be hyper-organized to cover the bases on all job duties.

Location: 500 Capitol Mall, Downtown Sacramento California
Status: Full-time / Exempt
Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Start/End times have some flexibility
- Some evening and weekend work required.

Primary responsibilities may include the following:
- Deliver a service-focused client experience with responsiveness, professionalism, and tact – for both new and existing clients; building rapport and strengthening relationships.
- Conduct initial calls with prospective clients.
- Actively participate in prospect and client meetings - e.g., gather relevant information to understand their current financial situation, investment objectives/goals and risk tolerance, and complete comprehensive financial planning deliverables.
- Prepare financial plans and implementation strategies utilizing established software/programs.
- Execute custom service plans by conducting regular progress tracking and balancing updates and changes in individual circumstances.
- Respond to client financial-related needs in a timely (same-day) and efficient manner.
- Regularly communicate and collaborate with all levels of the Towerpoint Wealth team.
- Support Wealth Advisors to prepare for existing client review meetings as well as notetaking, execution, and follow-up.
- Ensure completion and review of data entry and all necessary business processes within the Company’s programs and systems.
- Assist Wealth Advisors with investment analysis, recommendations, and implementation of strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to assist in client workflow, such as account opening, transfers, contributions, distributions, etc.
- Assist the Wealth Advisor and engage in client onboarding processes; maintain ongoing contact with clients and their advisors; presenting seminars to clients and attorneys on various estate and tax planning topics; conducting research; preparing white papers and other types of publications on topics related to trusts and estates; etc.
- Support the Company’s mission through consistent execution of identified processes and communications.
- Consistently delivers professional communication with clients, prospects, vendors, and all others with whom they interact.
- Work independently and productively while maintaining open communication with others.
- Regular attendance and timeliness.
- Practice safe and efficient work techniques to minimize potential injuries and hazardous conditions.
- Ensure that material areas are kept neat and orderly.
- Maintain acceptable levels of housekeeping at all times with regard to equipment and assigned work area and/or department.
- Adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by firm policy, SEC, and FINRA
Other duties as assigned by the President and Partners
Desired Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the financial and investment advisory industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or another related field preferred.
- CFP Certification preferred
Requirements
- Series 7 and 66 Licenses
- Completion/Pass of FINRA background check
- Previous experience and proven ability to utilize and manage financial planning software systems, Microsoft Office, and CRM applications
- Knowledge of investment products and markets
- Understanding of concepts, practices and procedures in financial management
- Ability to read, understand and analyze financial documents and spreadsheets
- Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Consistently display good organizational, time management and multitasking skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to simplify complex concepts for audiences with varying levels of sophistication
- Ability to build strong relationships and work in partnership with diverse personalities.
- Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow
- Ability to effectively handle stress and pressure consistent with the job duties and industry
